FAQs

Do I need to pay, or can I play the Mahjong games for free?

This question is regularly asked and we have good news for you: all the games on our website are completely free to play. They will continue to be free at all times and we will never ask you for payment. A short advertisement may be displayed from time to time, which you can skip after 5 seconds and start playing the free game.

Can you turn off the sound in the Mahjong games?

Most versions of mahjong have Chinese background music and play audio effects, e.g. when you match two tiles. This all adds to the fun, but it can get slightly irritating after a while. Or, it could be that you want to turn the sound off completely because you’re playing in a public place. In most cases, you can turn the sound off by clicking on the loudspeaker icon (usually located in the menu). If that does not work, you can always turn the sound down or off on your PC, tablet or cell phone, or use a headset.

One or more of the Mahjong games is not working or has stopped working.

Don’t worry, this is usually easy to fix. First try refreshing the browser view in the device you want to play on. The easiest way to do this on a PC is by pressing the F5 key, and on a mobile device using the Refresh button usually to be found in the menu bar at the top. Still not working? Then you likely need to clear the cache and the browser history. On a Windows PC, you can do this using the CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE key combination. On most other devices, go to the History option in the menu and choose to clear the recent history.
